How to Repair Double Glazed Windows

There are certain indicators that tell you your double-glazed windows need to be fixed. Obviously, water infiltration or draughts that enter the frames are a clear sign of damage to the window and must be repaired in the shortest time possible.

Broken Panes

After you're done then sand the wood. When the wood is smooth, you can seal it using clear wood sealer or linseed. This will protect it from water and further damage.

Regular maintenance is also important for window hinges. You can ensure they last longer by regularly cleaning the tracks of friction and lubricating the hinge mechanism. You can also use a wood preservative to shield them from the elements, which will help to prevent corrosion and keep them looking good for as long as you can.

A double-glazed window can help you save money on heating costs, because it is more energy efficient than windows with a single glazing.
